This setting modifies the charge algorithm to prevent under-charging when enabled. We recommend enabling this mode when there is another heat source in the room.
If more than one storage heater is installed in the same room, it is recommended that the smallest capacity heater(s) is set as a Secondary mode (may also be referred to as Slave mode). This is disabled by default.
To enable Secondary Heater Mode, follow these steps:
- Press and hold Menu and Advance for the Advance Menu
- Turn the dial to highlight Service and press the dial
- Turn the dial to highlight Slave Heater Mode and press the dial
- Turn the dial to Enable and press the dial
- Slave Heater Mode is now enabled
Please note that enabling Secondary Heater Mode may cause your heater to increase its charge level. Therefore this cause higher electricity bills.
If your Quantum is series G8 or later, this mode is called Secondary Heater Mode
