The Dimplex Control cloud is built on the Microsoft Azure cloud server platform. Only basic account information is held on the Dimplex Control App or Dimplex Hub device. All other data is held in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
Dimplex Control features end-to-end encryption. All communication to/from the Dimplex Hub to supported heating appliances via radio frequency (868MHz RF) are encrypted with AES-128 encryption.
Communication between the Dimplex Hub and cloud server and between the smartphone app and cloud server are encrypted with HTTPS and application certificates. All communications from the Dimplex Control App to heater appliances are routed to cloud, cloud to hub, hub to appliance. As such an always-on internet connection is required to the cloud server.
