The buttons on my Duoheat storage heater are damaged / pushed in. What do I do?

Applicable to models:

DUO300i DUO400i DUO500i

DUO300N DUO400N DUO500N

The DuoHeat storage heater controls consist of LEDs which light up, two small push switches for the plus and minus buttons and a plastic membrane that sits over the top to give the buttons a more tactile feel and to indicate what the controls do.

If the plastic membrane on the DuoHeat storage heaters has been damaged or the plus and minus part of the membrane has been pushed through making a hole, just the membrane itself can be replaced easily.

The heater must be switched off at the wall to make sure it is safely isolated from the mains.

The old membrane can be peeled off from the heater carefully using a sharp object like the edge of a knife.

New membranes can be ordered from UK Spares here and they have a self-adhesive backing, so they will peel off and stick in place once the previous membrane has been removed.

DUO300/400/500N version (has a padlock icon) part number X-89295

DUO300/400/500i version (has a key icon for the lock) part number X-85683

Note the DuoHeat range of heater are now discontinued and there are limited spare parts.
