Data usage scales depending on the number of connected appliances. General usage would include each connected product being polled for information every two minutes, plus any commands being sent by the user / app, requests for energy usage info etc.
In our testing, we have observed data usage of approximately 254MB per month, which roughly equals 8.5MB per day, 0.35MB per hour or approximately 12KB every 2 minutes.
