DXSTG25 product making a clunking noise when tilted. What is this?

Modified on Tue, 14 Mar, 2023 at 11:53 AM

Applicable to model: DXSTG25 DXSTG25G

Issue:  Clunking noise as if something inside the fan.

What this means:  This is a safety device known as the tilt switch. You will be able to hear this as you move the fan from side to side this tilt switch is designed that if the unit tilts over 45 degrees it rolls off a micro-switch causing the unit to switch off as a safety device in case it has been knocked over accidentally.

Action: Not a fault with the product. If tilt switch has been activated can be deactivated by placing the product back up right.
