When trying to add a heater to Dimplex Control App, it says GDID/PIN is invalid. What do I do?

Applicable to models:  Dimplex Hub, Dimplex Control App

Answer: First, ensure your heating appliance you are trying to add, is on the supported product list online:

https://www.dimplex.co.uk/dimplexcontrol/compatibility

Double check the Series Letter/number on the appliance vs the online list as earlier series products are not supported by Dimplex Control.  If the compatability guide indicates an RF module is required as well, ensure it has been fitted to the heating appliance.

If the appliance is on the compatability list, re-try adding the appliance to the app. If that was unsuccessful, try manually entering the GDID and PIN number into the Dimplex Control App, rather than using the camera to scan the QR code. There may be more than one QR code sticker on the appliance, so check if there is another sticket with more information on it.

Try moving the hub closer to the appliance then re-try pairing the heater within the app.

Make sure within the settings on the actual appliance screen, that RF comms mode is enabled. Consult the instructions for the specific appliance to see how this is done.

If none of these suggestions have worked, please contact Dimplex Customer Services for further assistance. We will need to know the GDID and PIN number from the Dimplex Hub as well as the appliance which is unable to connect, so we can investigate this further.
