Clock error is displayed on the Edel cylinder. What does this mean?

Modified on Mon, 15 Jul at 2:22 PM

This is an error with the display or main PCB accessing the onboard timeclock function.

The user should try setting the current date & time by pressing the clock button on the display, then setting the date/time correctly.

If the error persists, a competent engineer should isolate the mains supply as per safe isolation procedure, then change the display and/or Main PCB to resolve the issue. Both display & PCB should be taken to the job.

The compressor should still work providing the timer is set to 0000-2400 COMF mode (see page “Programming” section in the user manual) but if the compressor does not run, electric backup mode can be selected:

To switch on the backup immersion, search knowledge base “My Edel hot water cylinder has stopped heating the water. How do I get hot water via backup?”
