How do I dump log data to USB so I can send it to Dimplex to troubleshoot an issue?

If the heat pump is running a PCO5 controller which looks like this and is running L20.5 or higher:

It is possible to plug in a blank USB drive and to dump log data to the USB drive for further analysis by Dimplex technical support if required. 

Heat pump must be safely isolated from mains supply before carrying out any work!

The cover of the heat pump would need to be removed to expose the PCO5 controller.

The USB memory stick would need to be 8GB or smaller and containing no files. 

There is a flap on the controller which is hinged (has the Carel logo on it) which opens to expose the USB type A socket:

Insert a blank USB stick.

Power on the controller. Once booted, hold ESC + ENTER at the same time and the following screen will show.

Press DOWN to highlight "FLASH/USB MEMORY" and press ENTER

Press DOWN to highlight "USB PEN DRIVE" and press ENTER

Press DOWN to highlight "DOWNLOAD (pCO->pen)" and press ENTER

Press ENTER on the "Download LOGS" option:

Press ENTER at this prompt:

Once complete, you can power the heat pump off, then remove the USB drive.  You will have a logs.dwl file on the USB drive.

Raise a support ticket to us and attach the logfile attached alongside a description of the issue and contact details. We can then inspect the log file to see if any issues can be diagnosed using this data.
