For the EDL200 & 270 the maximum length of duct run must not exceed a total of 20m (we generally advise to work on the basis of 10m in and 10m out) however, installers need to consider that for each 90o bend used, the overall length will need to be reduced by 1m.
The nominal mass flow rate must be maintained above 320m3/hr. For the fan to operate in Fan speed 1, the maximum system pressure drop across the ducting connections must not exceed 100Pa and for Fan speed 2 the maximum pressure drop must not exceed 220Pa.
For the EDL170 the maximum length of duct run must not exceed 5m and the maximum pressure drop must not exceed 90Pa at a minimum air flow rate of 90m3/h.
Please refer to ducting design section in the installation instructions for further guidance. It is essential to maintain a minimum air flow rate through the ducting for correct operation of the appliance.
