How can I restrict (or remove) the maximum room temperature setting on the TRM or CTR towel rail?

Enabling the temperature limit

If you want to restrict the maximum room temperature setting on the control to say 24C, you need to press the MODE button until the SUN symbol appears on screen.

- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to set the current target room temperature to 22C. Although we want to restrict to maximum 24C, set the controller two degrees less than the maximum temperature you want the towel rail to be limited to.

- Press the POWER button to turn the towel rail off

- Hold POWER and MODE buttons for 3 seconds and "CONF" will appear on screen.

- Hold the Daily Preheat button for 3 seconds.

- The screen will now flash the blue backlight and a 1 or 0 on its own will appear in the top right corner of the screen

- Press the MODE button three times and "LIM" will appear with 0 in the top right corner.

- Press UP once (0 changes to 1 in top right corner) and then MODE again to confirm. This enables the temperature limit function.

Now when you try to adjust the comfort temperature of the towel rail, you will find it can go up to 24C (assuming you left the heater on 22C before setting the lock) and can go no higher. If you wanted to set the max temperature to 21C, then you would leave the heater on 19C before enabling the temperature limit function (2C less than the maximum you want).

Removing the temperature limit

If you want to disable the maximum temperature lock:

- Press the POWER button to turn off the towel rail

Hold POWER and MODE buttons for 3 seconds and CONF will appear on screen.

- Hold the Daily Preheat button for 3 seconds.

- The screen will now flash and 1 will appear in the top right corner of the screen

- Press the MODE button three times and LIM will appear with 1 in the top right corner.

- Press DOWN once (1 changes to 0 in top right corner) and then MODE again to confirm. This disables the temperature limit function.
