Why is the lightning bolt missing from my Edel display in Eco Mode?

Modified on Wed, 11 Sep at 10:28 AM

The lightning bolt is displayed when the electric immersion is energised and heating the water. If there is a demand for hot water (tap symbol shown meaning the water is below the target temperature) but the lightening bolt is missing (see below) then this may indicate that the set program is either in an Eco period (moon symbol) or a Frost Protection period (snow flake symbol).

Eco and Frost Protection modes block the operation of the electric immersion, even in "Elec Mode". It will only function when the unit is in a Comfort period.

To Edit the timer, follow this video guide:

We would recommend setting the timer to 00:00-24:00 COMF mode for MON-SUN to ensure the cylinder is able to use the immersion when it needs to and to prevent a long delay in reheating water.
